SITE STEWARDS & MEMBERSHIP

Genesee River Wilds has made significant progress over the past years, including negotiating new access locations from Wellsville to Portageville and upgrading and improving existing launch sites. However, there is much more that can be done to maximize the experience for all who use the river.

While we’re essentially a volunteer organization there are certain expenses necessary to keep us moving forward, like construction, maintenance, insurance, and so on. Currently, we solicit donations through our website, brochure distribution and word of mouth. (For those of you that have made contributions, we’re forever grateful. Your funds have been a big part of our success.)

However, to generate a more predictable income stream and to increase activities for those who use the river, we’re implementing a new, structured “membership” format.

Launching in 2025, the ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP dues are $50 and include the following:

  • Plastic-coated river map showing miles and access points
  • 25% off one item at our online apparel store
  • GRW decal
  • 50% off the annual float
